from Gracie Jauregui:

Catholic education is important to me in many ways. I have attended St. Therese School for eight years. The older I get, the more I appreciate my Catholic Education and what it has done for me. I have been blessed to have faith, academics, and the wonderful people I get to spend every day within my education at a Catholic School.

My favorite reason for attending a Catholic school is faith. We start every morning with the rosary. We attend Mass twice during the week and pray often. We also pray before and after volleyball and soccer games. I love the fact that I can pray all the time.

Academics are very important to me and I know I am getting a good education in a Catholic school. We focus on a test called NWEA. We set goals to make ourselves better. If we are ahead in a subject, our teachers challenge us. If we are struggling in a subject, our teachers will go back to teach us again and tutor us during lunch, recess, or after school.

I look forward to going to school every day for the people. From the time we get to school, we are greeted by smiling faces that always make me feel welcome. When my grandpa was sick and my family was going through hard times, my third-grade teacher brought us food in a snowstorm. Last year when our school was dealing with the loss of three important people, our school showed we were a family. Everyone came together to help one another. I feel like a Catholic school has a lot of love and people that live by the faith. My friends and classmates are always there to help me when I need them.

I have been blessed for many years to attend Catholic school. I hope I can continue my education in the Catholic school. St. Therese has given me faith, academics, and great friends that I will have for a lifetime. That is what my Catholic school means to me.
