Knights of Columbus Fish Fry

St. Therese School Gym March 23rd, 2018, 4:30pm-7pm Costs: $10 for Adults, $5 for kids  3-12, Free for 2 and under.

 Menu: All you can eat fish from Jerry's Fish Service (6 pieces for to-go orders) Savieo Mac N Cheese Seasoned potato wedges Coleslaw Applesauce Desserts (provided by the parish)

 Meals will include All you can eat fish, 1 hot and 1 cold side, along with 1 dessert and endless drink. Come and support our Parish at the Annual St. Therese Fish Fry!


We need help with desserts for our parish fish fry on March 23rd, and are asking for donations from the parish. If you can help, please contact Duane at 403-1534, and he will give you  instructions for the day of the event. Thank you!


Women's Night of Reflection, Adoration, & Confession

Do you stress over the details of life? Are you anxious for the unknown  future? Do you shy away from  suffering? Do you fear death? Join us at St. Patrick's Catholic Church,  Arcola on Thursday, March 22 from 7:00-8:30pm for a Lenten reflection by Fr. Ben Muhlenkamp who will  discuss how to manage our fears and sufferings and give them to Christ. Adoration and confession will follow the reflection. All women are welcome and this event is free. Ministry Volunteers Needed!

This year our Holy Week Masses that we need volunteers for begin on March 29 with Holy Thursday and end on April 1 with Easter Sunday. If you are a minister attending any of these special Masses, please sign up on the sheets on the table in Gathering Space. We appreciate your help!


Diocesan Mission CO-OP Program for 2018:

Bishop Rhoades has approved Sr Millie Rose of Micindo Mistelbach School, Gulu Uganda, to conduct this year’s Missionary Appeal in our Parish to help in their Missionary work. We shall be hearing from Sr in due time as to the weekend she intends to conduct this appeal in our parish.

2018 Chrism Mass

This year’s Chrism Mass on this side of the Diocese will take place on Tuesday, March 27 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, Downtown Fort Wayne at 7.30 p.m. At this Mass the priests working in the Diocese renew their priestly commitment before the bishop and the holy oils are blessed. The bishop invites all the Faithful to this Mass

Parents & Guardians:

We are looking for adults and teens to help lead Children's Liturgy. Training provided. Commitment time - one Sunday/month. Contact Kris Lill at if  interested.


Children's Liturgy - Ages 3-8 -  Parents and Guardians:.

Children's Liturgy of the Word takes place during the 11am Mass. Children ages 3-8 are invited to participate. We will read aloud a kid-friendly version of the Gospel for the week, along with prayers and other activities. Children will return to the sanctuary in time to put their  offering in Father's collection basket

Women in the Word

 Are you looking to block out a space just for you? A time to share the Word with other women who seek to deepen their faith and share prayer and the opportunity to discuss the Word too? Please join us the first Wednesday of each month from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the parish office. 



SPARC (Small Parishes Actively Receiving Christ) 

SPARC is looking for a few good men 18 and over seeking to become better men, husbands, fathers, brothers and friends. Join the SPARC (Small  Parishes Actively Receiving Christ) "Rekindle The Fire" Sunday evenings.  Keep the Fire burning for Christ’s love ​. Light snack, water and pop available. Rosary for Peace in the World and in Families

A few years back our Lady asked for prayer groups be formed. Here at St. Therese our group was formed and we are in our ninth year. We pray for peace in the world and in all families. Won't you please join u​s? We meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month in the chapel at 6:00 pm. Hope to see you there.


Divine Mercy Devotion

Now through the end of the Year of Mercy, St Therese Church will be having a Divine Mercy devotion. It will be held in the Chapel on the first and third Tuesdays of every month following evening Mass (6:15pm) Spend time to learn more about the mercy of God, learn to trust in Jesus, and live your life as merciful to others as Christ is merciful to you.​

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (10700 Aboite Center Rd) is  sponsoring a healing Mass and  service with Father McAlear on  Thursday, March 22. Father McAlear is a world renowned and gifted in the healing ministry. Confessions will  begin at 5:15 pm. The healing Mass will begin at 6 pm. followed by a  healing service with Father McAlear where people will have the  opportunity to come forward and be prayed over. During this time there will be Eucharistic Exposition as well as opportunities for Confession, the  Sacrament of Anointing and to be prayed over by prayer teams. All are welcome, Catholic and non-Catholic, to this event.


March 24, 2018 we will be taking a bus trip from St Joseph Hessen Cassel to The Shrine of Christ's Passion in St John, IN. The cost to each person will be $75 and include the bus trip, lunch at Teibles, donation from the group to the Shrine and tip from the group for the bus driver.  Bottled water and continental  breakfast will be provided on the bus at no additional cost. We will stop in Plymouth, IN for supper at  Applebee’s, Wendy's, Arby's or Bob Evan's. Supper is on your own and not included in the $75. Bishop Luers High Euchre Knight is March 23

Bishop Luers High School will host Euchre Knight on Friday, March 23, in the Bishop Luers Café. Doors open at 6 p.m., and euchre begins at 7 p.m. Cost is $30 per two-person team or $15 per single player. Cash prizes will be awarded: $50 for the first-place team and $25 for the second-place team. Adults 21 and older are invited. Beverages will be available to  purchase. Adam Veldman receives ROTC college scholarship 

Bishop Luers High School senior Adam Veldman has been selected to receive the 4-Year, Type 1, Any Approved Major, Air Force ROTC college scholarship. He also was offered the same scholarship through the U.S. Army. The selection was based on scholarship selection board ranking, academic major choice and the number of scholarships available in each  academic category. The offer covers full annual tuition and fees, a textbook allowance and a monthly stipend during the school year. Veldman plans to attend Georgetown University and to pursue a career as a defense intelligence analyst.
